Here are Pool Hayes Academy we are dedicated to improving the retention of students’ knowledge, therefore students are expected to complete homework across their curriculum to support them with formative and summative assessments. Homework is set by staff at appropriate times to support student learning.
Maths homework is set via an online programme called Sparx Maths: Sparx Maths
Homework is set weekly on Friday mornings and is due to be submitted by Wednesday evenings at 9pm.
Reading homework is also set via an online programme called Sparx Reader: Sparx Reader

All students have been provided with a Knowledge Organiser that provides the key, essential knowledge for every subject across the curriculum. Students must use these Knowledge Organisers to revise for end of topic assessments and to check their understanding of key facts and knowledge. Students are supported in learning how to use their Knowledge Organisers to help them to create revision flashcards, mind maps and revision mats.
