Upcoming Events

Over the next month we have many exciting events planned for you to support your transition into secondary education. Information on the events can be found below, but please keep an eye on the web page and our social media pages for updates on the exact dates for these.

Year 6 Teacher Meetings

We have already conducted virtual meetings with all of the Year 6 teachers from your child’s school. This has allowed us to get detailed information of every student joining us, along with predicted SATS results, medical information and any special educational needs.

Year 7 Tutor Calls

Before the end of the summer term, you will receive a call from your child’s form tutor. During this call the tutor will require some information from you. They will check your contact email address and your three mobile contact numbers.

Virtual Transition Evening

On Thursday 1st July, we will be posting our virtual transition evening. This will be a pre-recorded event and will allow staff to deliver the key messages that they were planning to give you on the night. This will be posted onto the transition section of the website.

Virtual Tutor Evening

Following on from the transition evening, you will be invited to attend a virtual tutor meeting along with your child. This will be held on Microsoft TEAMS. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child’s new tutor and other parents/students within the form group. Further invitations will be emailed out to you nearer the time.

SEND and Lone Starter Meetings

As part of our robust transition for Year 6 students, our SEN Graduated Approach Officer will send out SEN transition paperwork to all of our primary feeder schools in order to gain as much information as possible about students.  Both our Graduated Approach Officer and Vice Principal will hold virtual meetings with all feeder schools.  Following these meetings, our Graduated Approach Officer will then visit feeder schools to meet physically with both the SENCo and children.
