The Pool Hayes Sixth Form is Outstanding. Our results in 2017 placed us amongst the best schools nationally for vocational subjects and amongst the best in Walsall for academic subjects. The ethos, support and aspiration within our Sixth Form makes it a great place to study. Our students learn well, achieve well and use our Sixth Form as a spring board to Higher Education, apprenticeships and employment with us having a 100% success rate for students going onto further education, employment or training for the last two years.
If you are interested in studying at Pool Hayes and want to know more, the KS5 options booklet can be found HERE.
All applicants must be 16 years old or over when the course starts. Application forms are available from the school. All prospective students will have an interview and after the interview the student may be offered a place as long as:
- He/she will benefit from a period of continued study.
- He/she meets any entry requirements for the course they wish to take.
- The course chosen has sufficient numbers of students to allow the course to run.
We do not allow students to resit a year.
The minimum entry criteria is 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above preferably including English and Maths. If English and/or Maths falls below grade 4, students will be automatically entered into a re-sit GCSE group on arrival into Sixth Form.
