A message from Mrs Macey, Head of Academy
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to share with you that we have now received our Ofsted report.
The report reflects the progress our academy has made and recognises the positive changes taking place across our school community. I am particularly pleased that inspectors acknowledged that “Improvements in the delivery of the curriculum in lessons are having a positive impact on pupils’ learning.” They also recognised the positive culture being developed throughout the academy, stating that “Leaders are creating a positive culture in which pupils feel they belong.”
While there is still more work ahead of us, I am proud of how far we have come together. This progress belongs to our entire community: our staff, students, parents and carers. The strong sense of belonging, support and shared ambition within our PHAmily has been central to this journey. Inspectors recognised this, noting that “Staff know pupils well, and this knowledge creates a clear sense of belonging.”
The care and support our students receive were also highlighted in the report: “Pupils speak positively about the pastoral care they receive. They say that staff care about them and want them to do well.” Importantly, inspectors confirmed that safeguarding standards are met and that “Pupils are safe at the school.”
I am also particularly proud of the recognition given to our sixth-form students. Inspectors commented that “Students in the sixth form epitomise what it is to be part of the ‘PHAmily’” and that they “act as exemplary role models for younger pupils.”
We know that improving outcomes for all students remains our next important priority. The foundations are now firmly in place, and we are confident that the improvements recognised by Ofsted will continue to translate into even stronger outcomes for our young people.
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement and belief in our academy. Together, we have achieved something significant, and together, we will continue our journey of improvement.
Yours sincerely,

Mrs L Macey
Head of Academy
