Pool Hayes Academy expects the highest standards of punctuality and any student who is repeatedly late will be issued with a support session to help them to get back on track.
Similarly, the academy expects 95% attendance as a minimum standard for all students and parents will be contacted and asked to meet with pastoral staff, governors and external agencies should attendance become a concern.
On the other hand, those students who demonstrate high standards of punctuality and attendance receive rewards in the shape of certificates, prize draws, trips, etc.
This firm but fair approach has seen attendance levels rise year on year and they currently sit above national averages.
